BIOGRAPHY

Dan is a freelance trumpet player, arranger and teacher based in Hertfordshire. Since first picking up a trumpet aged eight, he has gone on to complete undergraduate (BA, First Class Hons) and postgraduate (MA, Distinction) at the University of Chichester and Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance respectively. He has studied with professionals at the top of their fields including Fraser Tannock, Pete Turnbull, Tony Cross, Bob Farley and Andy Hendrie.

Something that Dan has always kept in mind when honing his skills is versatility on the trumpet. As such, he is comfortable performing nearly all styles of music and is continually looking to broaden his musical horizons. Some of the many prestigious venues he has performed at include the London Palladium, Cadogan Hall and the Royal Albert Hall. In autumn 2021 he made his West End debut, performing as a deputy on the show Prince of Egypt at the Dominion Theatre. As of 2023 he is the trumpet player on the UK and Ireland tour of The Drifters' Girl.

Dan is a keen arranger and many of his arrangements are available to purchase from the Shop. Bespoke arrangements are also available if you have something particular in mind, please get in contact via the Contact form to discuss further.
