'Resolution' is a piece written to show off the percussion section within the brass ensemble. Aimed primarily at good student ensembles, it requires a good sense of timing and groove to nail the funk aspect of the piece.

N.B. It is certainly acceptable to have more than one player per part, and advisable in the case of the 1st trumpet part, which is written divisi at certain points. If only one player is available, the upper notes should be played for preference.
